Here at Marietta Toyota, we want to make the car-buying experience as seamless and hassle-free as possible. This is why we’ve partnered with RouteOne to provide our own dedicated credit application portal for our customers to get pre-approved for financing! This simple, straightforward, five-step process can take as little as five minutes to complete!
The first stage is entering your personal information. You’ll need to provide your first and last name, date of birth, email address, and primary phone number. You can also include a secondary phone number, and if you’ve worked with a salesperson, you can include their name here as well.
Should you be applying for financing with a co-applicant, click on the green bar to the bottom left; this person may then enter their personal information as well as indicate their relationship to you, be it spouse, parent, or something else. When applying with a co-applicant, you will each be prompted with a check box to certify your intent to apply jointly.
When you’ve concluded this section, click on the green “Next Step” button at the bottom right.
In the second stage, you’ll input your current residence information; this is your full street address, city, state, and ZIP code, as well as the type of residence—be it home ownership, mortgaging, leasing, renting, etcetera—and the length of time you’ve been living here, in terms of years and months. Note that if you are renting, leasing, or paying a mortgage, you will need to provide the amount of your monthly payment. Lastly, you may enter your driver’s license number and the state of issuance, though this is not required.
If you are filing with a co-applicant, this person will also have to enter their residence information. If the residence is the same, simply click the box beside “Use same address as primary applicant” to auto-populate these fields. The co-applicant may also input their driver’s license number and state of issuance.
When you’ve concluded this section, click on the green “Next Step” button at the bottom right.
The third stage will have you enter your income information, with your job title, employment status (full-time, part-time, etc.), the length of time you’ve been at the job (in years and months), and the name of your employer and their phone number. You’ll then enter your gross income (yearly, pre-tax) and your paycheck periods (weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc.) as well as your social security number. If filing with a co-applicant, this person will need to provide their own information for these fields.
When you’ve concluded this section, click on the green “Next Step” button at the bottom right.
In the fourth stage, you’ll be entering the information for your prospective vehicle, whether you intend to buy or lease, and information about a trade-in vehicle, if applicable. None of this information is mandatory, as you may simply be looking to be pre-approved for financing without having a particular vehicle in mind.
Should you be buying, you’ll include the amount you’re comfortable with providing as a down payment, the amount you’ll be financing (i.e. the remaining value of the vehicle, and the term (in months, from 12 to 54) you’ll be financing for. Should you be leasing, you’ll only need to supply information for your down payment and term.
Should you know the details of a particular vehicle you intend to purchase or lease, you can select its status (new, used, CPO, etc.), then the year, the make (manufacturer), the model, and the style—the trim level, drivetrain, and cab configuration, if applicable. You may also enter the VIN if you know it.
If you’d like to trade in your current vehicle, select its year, make, model, and style and enter the amount you still owe—if any—on that vehicle.
When you’ve concluded this section, click on the green “Next Step” button at the bottom right.
The fifth and final stage is to review your provided information in full. Read it carefully, verify that everything is correct, and revise anything that isn’t. Ensure you’re confident with the financing plan you’ve proposed, should you be hoping to secure a particular vehicle. Lastly, if you’d like to include clarifications, questions, or supplemental information, write these in the Comments box at the very bottom.
When you’ve concluded this section, click on the green “Apply” button at the bottom right.
The next page is a Content and Disclosure form. This simply indicates that you’re authorizing us to run a credit check and evaluate your candidacy for financing. After reading, click the check box at the bottom to agree to the terms and conditions; should you have a co-applicant, they will also have a box of their own to confirm their understanding of the terms. Then, click on the green “Next” button.
This last page is the Dealer Privacy Notice, which describes the purposes for which we will use the personal information you have supplied. Check the box and click on the green “Next” button. Your application will then be processed. Within a few seconds, you should receive confirmation that your application has been completed and that a representative will be in contact with you shortly.
That’s it! You’ve successfully applied for a credit evaluation and—potentially—a financing plan for your next new or used vehicle!
