Three Remarkable Toyota EVs Are Coming for the 2026 Model Year
For decades, Toyota has been a leader in the industry when it comes to great vehicles that are reliable, fun to drive, and incredibly efficient. It’s no surprise that they’re now leading the way when it comes to electric vehicles (EVs) with a 2026 lineup with some of the best options out there.
Whether you’re already interested in a Toyota bZ for sale or you’re still trying to figure out what sort of EV SUV is right for you, Toyota is ready to show you what you’ve been looking for. You have three fantastic models available to you in Toyota’s 2026 lineup, so let’s look at each of them to see what they offer and figure out which one is right for you.
The 2026 Toyota bZ: The Electrified Compact SUV Gets Even Better
The established EV model in Toyota’s lineup, the bZ, is getting a refresh and update for the 2026 model year, making it better than ever. We love seeing this because it would be easy to simply release two new models and let them get all of the attention.
Instead, Toyota shows they’re serious about delivering remarkable EVs across their lineup and ensuring that all three models are special. The bZ remains their flagship offering and a terrific choice for many drivers; it’s a compact SUV, so it’s fantastic for city driving and making the most of your time on the road daily.
Two batteries are available for the 2026 bZ, which impacts the performance and range you get with your EV SUV, so it’s essential to consider this before choosing the right model and features. The standard 57.7-kWh battery comes with a single motor that delivers 221 hp for great performance in a compact model like this; it gets an estimated 236 miles of range from a full charge.
If you’re looking for enhanced range, a 74.7-kWh battery is offered for the 2026 bZ; with a single motor, it provides the same performance but up to 314 miles of range. For boosted power, you can choose a dual-motor option with this battery that delivers 338 hp, ensuring you have a great time on the road, plus an estimated 288 miles of range.
The exterior of the bZ has been refreshed and updated for 2026, looking better than ever with a revised front fascia and updated lighting elements, including slim LED daytime running lights. Overall, this update maintains the stylish design we’ve enjoyed since the bZ4X (now just bZ) was first revealed.
Inside, you find a spacious and comfortable interior with several cabin updates, such as a layout that allows for a pair of wireless chargers up front. A larger 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia display is standard in all bZ models, along with ambient lighting with 64 colors that you can customize to match your style and preferences. Combine that with soft-touch materials and other gorgeous details throughout the interior, and you get a compact SUV that you’ll look forward to driving each day.

The 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland: An Electric Midsize SUV With Exceptional Performance
The first of two all-new and exciting models from Toyota, the bZ Woodland builds on everything we love about the bZ and takes it to a new level. You might think this is a trim for the bZ model when you first see the name, but it’s a fully developed, separate offering: a midsize EV SUV ready to take you anywhere you want to go.
It’s about six inches longer than the bZ and stands almost an inch taller. The bold and powerful stance sets it apart and looks fantastic. That said, it clearly fits into the Toyota EV lineup, with styling cues similar to those of the bZ but made distinct. Where the bZ is all about giving you plenty of options for performance, the bZ Woodland keeps things simple with impressive power and capabilities, no matter what you’re looking for.
Toyota’s new 74.7-kWh battery is standard for the bZ Woodland along with a pair of motors for electric all-wheel drive (AWD), which deliver 375 hp. That’s robust performance and an estimated 260 miles of range from a full charge, getting you wherever you need to go. In addition to its AWD engineering, the bZ Woodland has more than eight inches of ground clearance and 3,500 lbs of towing capacity, making it ideal for any adventure.
Reinforcing its identity as a rugged and capable midsize SUV, the bZ Woodland has standard roof rails that work for extra cargo or adding accessories like a bike rack. Keeping things simple, a single grade for the bZ Woodland includes a 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia system and a second Multi Information Display for you as the driver.
SofTex-trimmed seating is standard, with heated front seats that are perfect for winter camping and warm earth tones throughout the interior. An available Premium package adds a panoramic roof, ventilated front seats, and a JBL Premium sound system, elevating your time on the road.
The 2026 Toyota C-HR: A Sporty and Nimble Design
If you’re looking for something with a bit more focus on performance and handling, especially if you’re interested in a smaller model, then the Toyota C-HR must be at the top of your list. Our second all-new model, the C-HR, features some design elements similar to the bZ, and they used that compact SUV as a jumping-off point, but then went in an exciting direction with it. This is an EV subcompact SUV with a coupe-like design that is undeniably sleek and stylish, including graceful good looks that immediately catch the eye.
Much like the bZ Woodland, there’s only one power option: the 74.7-kWh battery with a dual-motor AWD setup. This one delivers 338 hp, less than the previous SUV, but its smaller size makes great use of all that power to deliver an exhilarating time on the road. Toyota reports it can go from 0 to 60 mph in about five seconds, with an estimated range of up to 290 miles from a full charge.
We love how Toyota has outfitted the C-HR with paddle shifters on the steering wheel that let you control its regenerative braking, so you can make adjustments to affect your overall experience and range as you drive.
Unlike the single grade for the bZ Woodland, you have two grades to choose from with the C-HR: a standard SE or upgraded XSE model. The gorgeous 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia display found in the previous two models is once again standard here, with a fully digital gauge cluster and a pair of wireless chargers up front.
SofTex-trimmed seating is standard with an eight-way power driver’s seat and heated front seats; the XSE model gets synthetic suede-trimmed seats to go with the SofTex, an eight-way power passenger seat, and much more. Overall, this is the perfect choice if you’re looking for something small and sporty.

Which Toyota EV SUV Is Right for You?
So now that you see what Toyota has to offer, it’s clear that they’re looking to deliver something to meet the needs of just about anyone. With these three models, you have your pick of different sizes, levels of performance, and features that will best meet your needs.
If you’re looking for something small and sporty, then the C-HR is the way to go. For a slightly larger SUV with plenty of options for performance, the bZ is a terrific pick, and if you want something bigger or with more rugged capabilities, the bZ Woodland has you covered. No matter what you’re looking for in your next all-electric SUV, Toyota is ready to deliver; once you know what you need, we can help you find a vehicle you’ll love driving for many years and miles ahead.
